My 5sp 2008 trans is leaking where the two parts bolt together. It is not a lot but leaves a stain wherever it is parked. 55k is this still under warranty?

Sounds like an easy gasket fix. Don't let your fluid levels get too low in the meantime. As for the warranty, assuming you are the original owner it's worth a shot. If it were me, more hassle than it's worth.

I'm the first owner. Haven't really looked at it to see how much hassle putting a new gasket in would be.
What kind and how much fluid is needed?

Some new cars don't have trans dipsticks at all and require "dealer servicing" or to buy one online. Call your dealer and set up an appointment. There's no reason to do work yourself that a warranty will cover.

Going to the dealer and sitting around for half the day is reason enough. If it is easy and cheap to do I would much rather deal with it myself. There is no dipstick on a manual.
Go to the dealer. They should swap the gear oil as well, considering anything if fluid can get OUT, contaminants can get IN. It should definitely be covered under the warranty. I suggest having them fix it so there's record of the maintenance, in case it's a recurring problem and you need it documented. If it turns out to NOT be just a gasket, they may deny a warranty claim since any work you did yourself on the transmission could be seen as the cause (from their POV).

axle seals are easy, but time consuming to replace. But I'd still have Hyundai do it under warranty and save yourself the hassle!

So I'm at the dealer now getting the leak fixed. It is covered under warranty.
But there are three ECU TSB updates, one that I have problems with on cold start if you stall it and try to restart. It will flood and you get a P300 code. Easy enough to start by flooring the gas. They want $150 to load in the software.
I told them to forget it.
The tried to ding me too on the TPMS light being on until I told them there are no sensors in the non stock wheels.
