Intake for 07-08 Accent?
Newbie here, with a question for the gurus;
I've searched this site, and nothing newer than 2004 models.
Anybody know of a SRI Mfg. for the 1.6 DOHC Accents?
Hyundai dealers list an (AEM?) one for $300 (big $$$)
This can't be the only one offered out there...
Help!

If AEM does make one for your car (according to the dealer), then there has to be other places that sell it, much cheaper. Contact a local speed shop that sells AEM equipment and see if they can get it for you at a better cost than the dealer.
For other intakes, try Seoulful Racing, Evo Fusion, or K Spec. smile.gif Good luck....

I went to the AEM website, and they list Advanced Auto as dealers for their products.
Called Advanced, and they have NO Intake listings for the Accent.
Apparently, AEM produces Accent intakes only for the dealers. mad.gif

That makes absolutely no sense that AEM would do that. Hmm...if you can find a part number for the intake, then you could possibly find someone who can get dealer parts at cost for you. That would save you quite a bit money.

OK, ended up installing a Weapon R SRI for less than $200 shipped.
Took a bit of fenagaling to get it on right, but worth the effort.
Gained more seat of the pants low end torque, now can climb hill on way home in 4th gear 2000-2100 RPM's, and gained about 1.5 mpg.
Plus it's got a nice growl to it. I'm happy!

The AEM one is more expensive because it comes as a very clean bolt in produce, as well it provides a ECU mount bracket and heat shield for the filter. It is a little expensive yes, but no one has ever had trouble installing one fo these and they look great.

before i went turbo I just got ome off ebay. it worked and it was nice. the newer accents have a more dressed up engine bay but as far as fitment I would go with what 187 says and post up engine bay pics.
