Default hyundai x3 swap questions

hello everyone

i just got myself a hyundai accent x3 2door with a 1.5 manual 12v engine (1997)

what engine could i swap for fun on it?

will a beta1 engine fit?

what modifications should i do to make it feel better on turns?

will a 185\15\40 wheel will make it go slower?

i'm new to huyndai and i have no knowladge about the brands ups and downs



ill be happy to see some links that are intresting about the car and some cool projects

the car is first hand got about 80K miles on it driven by an old lady haha

i got it for 200$ as a side project for fun!

Looks like a pretty good place to start. Yes a Beta I will fit (with some minor fab work required). I suggest you read the Hyundai Hybrids section. It's all about engine swaps, mostly the Beta swap in Accents. This is info for a newer LC2 Accent but it's a good writeup. Mechanically it will be a very similar project. You will need to use the clutch from a Scoupe Turbo.



One thing to note is that wiring varies a lot worldwide. Most of our info is from the US and Canadian markets. A lot of stuff will carry over but not everything and many of the wiring colors and some pinouts will be different from what I've seen.
