I have a 2010 Accent Hatchback, Manual. And every time i open the door while my key is in the ignition it starts chiming and I can not for the life of me figure out how to turn it off. Its greatly irritating so if anyone can help with this, please let me know. Thank you.

If you dont want the chimer at all you can unplug the "chime box", to find it follow the sound, its under the driver side behind the panel thats under the steering wheel on my 2002 Accent. If you want it to just stop chiming when the door opens on the driver side you need to unplug the sensor. Again on my 02 it is a visible switch by the door hinges.

If you wire around the door switch, it may disable everything realted to the door switch:
key in
headlights on
dome light activation
For me, this was a win/win/win so I did it. But if I leave my lights on, it's a good thing the jumper cables are in the boot!

Same on my 2000 Tiburon, best mod ever!
Still get a different chime if I leave lights on too, so win/win for me!!
