Hyundai Accent Forum The Hyundai Accent Forum. Hyundai's little champ. While the Hyundai Accent and Hyundai Excel may be small, they respond very well to aftermarket modifications and is among the favorites for Hyundai tuners.

Default how to make my05 accent gls faster and look nicer

so far i have a k/n air intake, 17 inch black rims, and just had my catalytic converter cut out and replaced with straight pipe with a pilot exhaust....... i want to do some more mods to it, any ideas ? (i was thinking strut bars, sway bars, fin, bodykit, different gauges, etc) if so where can i find them?

I vote for a rear sway bar and springs/struts.

u just made your car slower by putting 17's on it, find some lightweight 15's with 195-5015 tires and feel ur car handle like a champ,

ur lug pattern for the wheels is 4x100

Yup, the 17s are too much.
Performance wise your best bet is turbo or just a 2/1.8L tiburon engine.

Ditto on that. Also to the rims are way too big on that car., I have 16's and I feel they are a tad too much. Also depends on what your looking for...smoother engine slight better pick up. Improve the handling and keep the car as is. If you have the money swap in the Beta 2.0 and then boost it. Or ike myself you want the car to go faster but dont have the money or time to waste on a beta swap just go straight Turbo. t28 is gonna run you a lot of money Just get an inexpensive 14B or 16G Mitsubishi turbo. I was running 5psi on my 1.6 04 GLS and was getting 143 hp and 134-136 trq. At the track was getting mid 15s and taking out MINI S, Integra Vtec 1.8s even Mustang Gts (freeway was a different stoy with those). Point is you can get soe decent power out of the Accents 1.6l motor as is with boost and proper tuning.
