GSS307 or GSS340 pump for nitrous Accent?
Hello,
I just purchased a used ZEX kit for my mostly stock 96 Accent GT 1.5L DOHC Alpha. I plan on using the 55 hp jettings for now, but would like to upgrade the fuel pump to be on the safe side.
Should I run the standard pressure GSS307 255lph pump or the high pressure GSS340 pump? I am concerned that the regulator may not be able to lower the pressure enough during normal driving conditions with the GSS340. Any suggestions?
Any idea how much my ETs will drop with the 55 hp shot? It ran a best of 17.19 @ 79 last time out before I got the nitrous. I hope to get it close to 15.9 with the giggly stuff. I will post the new ETs when I get the system installed and hit the track again. Thanks. Tom

I would go with the standard pressure pump because the zex kit was built to work off the stock pressure. The only reason you need a bigger pump is for the extra volume of fuel that is needed and 255lph is more than enough.
