Im doing a tune up this weekend on my accent and one of the things i plan on doing is replacing the fuel filter. anybody have any tips on doing it to make the process go smoothly? what does everyone use to cap off the fuel line when i disconnect it? thanks.
You can use a line wrench instead of a regular open wrench.
Mine was very hard to take out, I had to wait until I dropped the tranny to upgrade clutch and still was hard haha

This will give you a general idea what your getting yourself into.

I thought the fuel filter on newer accents was built into the fuel pump now? There's a thread somewhere about changing the filter on an Elantra that should be more helpful.
out of curiosity, what else are you planning on doing?

I think that Tiburon guide is for the charcoal filter.

Nope, both those guides are wrong for an 03 Accent.
Pull off the bottom of the rear seat.
Pry up the fuel pump servicing panel.
Disconnect the fuel pump harness.
Start the engine and let it run until it dies then turn the ignition switch off.
You can see the fuel filter sitting beside the pump assembly on top of the fuel tank. Remove fuel filter mounting bolts.
Cover with towel to prevent fuel from splashing all over.
Remove fuel filter from clamp and replace with new filter.
