I have seen nothing, other than universal exhaust tips, for the newer Accents. I know I have the option of going to a muffler shop and having some custom work done, but does anyone make a catback system for these cars? I do not want this to sound loud and annoying, just want to free up the exhaust a little.

As far as I know nobody has a bolt on system yet. They may never make one, getting one made for the 00-05 Accents took a lot of time and trouble. The header for the 00-05 Accent 1.6l more than likely works on your car but nobody has tested it either that I know of. Getting the system done at a good performance muffler shop should be a satisfactory outcome. I did that and couldn't be happier.

If you dont want it to be loud and anoying do not get a straight through muffler. use a chambered muffler. I spent over $800 trying to get just the right sound: deep low tone with a mellow idle...nothing loud. Hell theres stock trucks louder than my exhaist and all I needed was a chambered muffler...live and learn. :/
