Default drop springs

well, i'm on a really tight budget for mods, so i've been searching ebay and i've run across, SSI & Dropzone springs. the SSI do a 1.5" drop and the Dropzone do 2". does anyone have any experience with either brand? i know that there will be those that say "you can't expect anything good for cheap, etc", i hear this crap all the time when modding a car. i'm guessing my 05 is a LC2?

It is an LC2. I had a buddy with some cheaper drop springs and the main problem I noticed was the fact they didn't fit in the perch when the wheel was up. The ride wasn't to bad from what I remember. Are you going for looks or actual performance? (going autoXing anytime soon?)

I own the dropzones 2 inch lowering springs from eBay, in fact they are on my car right now. they are red...anyways the ride quality inst terrible but be prepared to be tossed around a little bit i mean it is bouncy but for looks i give it a A+ for performance.....ehh probably like a C lol its up to you.

Keep in mind that if you drop your car, you really should replace the shocks too. OEM shocks don't like being dropped, especially when they're old. They also wear out faster when dropped.

going for looks mostly. i'll upgrade to better springs/shocks when the money allows. i'm just starting to think that the 2" Dropzone springs might be too low with the stock 13" wheels.

i'm still thinking it might be to low for where i live. my driveway is really steep and narrow. not much room to go in/out at an angle.

Just depends on work. As long as I have the day off the garage is open. I have some cheesy compressors and air tools to make sort work of an accents springs. We just installed Koni's on an S2k this weekend. Took a bit because we had to drill out some of the stock stuff to swap over. That and the nuts were not welded on right... wtf.
