CAI for 1.6L Accent
I installed a CAI on my 2002 Accent with relative ease..
This is what I used:
Spectre CAI for 92-00 Civics from AutoZone for 39.99
2.5in cone K&N Filter for 35.99.
Take off the entire stock air box..theres 3 parts you take off. Its all bolted on with screws.
Saw off 5.5-6in off the CAI pipe (really easy with a hacksaw, takes like 5-10mins.) attach the air filter..clamp everything on..and you're done.
Very noticable gains in the mid-high RPM range and the car sounds really mean now with a deep sound.
Here's what it should look like:

That looks really familiar... wink
With your filter that high, its probably hitting the hood. Twist the intake down so it sits lower. wink Also, its not really a cold air intake, since its drawing in hot enginebay air.
