ok i am pretty proud of myself right now. heres the story. first ill describe his car.
it is a 1996 BMW 318ti 1.9 liter 140hp. my car stock it is 92 hp i dont currently know what it is until i dyno. My best friend owns the car and we always play around and race around. so one yesterday we decided we are gonna race the whole way down the berlin meyers express way in summerville. so there are no cars around and we come to a dead stop. he gives me the signal and we are off he had me by about a car length at first, when as soon as i hit 4k rpms i was back up with him. when i shifted into second my car boosted ahead of him by close to a car length
and i had him all the way up to 110mph. he was slightly ahead of me after that. it was real cool. i am very proud. i didnt think my little car could do it. so what do you guys think i lost the race? or did i win he says he won im like that sucks man. what do you think? i had to represent for hyundai. he said he could beat any hyundai i guess hes scared now i told him to go play with a modded tiburon. by the way he has a CAI and cat-back exhaust. all i have is spark plugs, wires, cat-back exhaust, and removed the resonator. not too bad huh im racing him again when i get my mhp CAI and do some weight reduction i think i can get him.

 

I haven't had the pleasure of puttin a butt whoppin on a beemmmmer yet! But it sounds good anyway kinda funny doesn't that bmw look very similar to your car!! kinda like the same body style! how far did you race and how long did you stay in front of him?? just about any way you slice it you still kicked his ASS!!!!!! How much money did hey spend on that beemer just to have a HYUNDAI stick it's foot in his ASSSS!! all I can really say is HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ON HIM!!!

 

your right our cars do look very very similar. he bought the car like 3 years ago and paid like 16k for it supposedly he got a good deal. hmmm im not sure exactly how long the race was the most we got up to was 115, or me anyways he might have been a little higher at the end like about 118-120 it might have been about a mile? if anyone knows where summerville is they know where berlin meyers expressway is it is the perfect 4 lane stretch for racing its SWEET!!
but there are cops sometimes. it is my ideal racing place. oh i was in front of him the whole way except the very end about 110mph or very close to it. oh about your comment i have a SOHC in it hehe. i love it too.. i love the accents. a guy with a ford probe wants a piece of me now. hes like no way can your little car beat me. we will find out. hey where do you live accent 1? i havent had the pleasure of racing another accent before.
or even a tib for that matter. i might get a chance at the summerville speedway on the 16th depending who shows up from the club if your interested go to the south east chapter and check out the speedway post im trying to get a bunch of teamsr members together. peace
