Hyundai Accent Forum The Hyundai Accent Forum. Hyundai's little champ. While the Hyundai Accent and Hyundai Excel may be small, they respond very well to aftermarket modifications and is among the favorites for Hyundai tuners.

MVI, that's quite the list! Keep us updated on your progress (although I'm sure you will) as it's nice to see a little Accent go kick butt!

All Hyundai, Kia's, Daewoo and Protons all have the same engines in them, all be it the top of the range models (like mine).

The Accent 1.3 has the same engine as the Kia Pride, because they are manufactured in the same plant.

Thanks Red, and I will be doing plently of arse wipping. Including betting a Pulsar GTI-R with 280bhp this morning on the way to work, the stupid foul had crap tyres and the road are wet, idiot just span and didn't go anywhere, hehehe. Kick Arse Accent.

Thought I was the only English guy with an Accent !

Where'd you get your bits and pieces from ?
I've only got a baby Coupe Si (96 1.3L 12v) sad.gif
Just want to get off the shelf stuff if I can, although I know it's a bit of a rare car to mod !

Cheers
Ben

Ok, for all the exterior mods go to:

www.hyundaiperformance.com

The guys there can sort you out bodykits, uprated clutch, short shifters and loads of other goodies.
For alloys, always buy them from:

www.performancealloys.com

They supplied my with my Racing Kahns. Hyundai are blooded hard to get alloys for, but I found out that they are the same fitment as Fords. If you are serious about modding your car go with 17" or 18", but be warned, the arches will need rolling and cutting. 16" will fit straight on. When I got my 17" they fit straight on, but I couldn't get fall lock.

All other engines mods speak to:

www.jenvey.co.uk

They can supply throttle bodies and all sorts.

get a custome exhuast or a universal, no-one makes them for Accents, well no-one makes decent ones.

Any thing else just mail me.

Skierd, I know the GS comes with the 1.6. I was just saying the US 1.5 is 12v only.

PS
I know that Hyundai had a 16v 1.5 in 99-98
