Hyundai Accent Forum The Hyundai Accent Forum. Hyundai's little champ. While the Hyundai Accent and Hyundai Excel may be small, they respond very well to aftermarket modifications and is among the favorites for Hyundai tuners.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(M_034 @ Jun 30 2008, 05:10 AM) </div><div class='quotemain'>If you're up for sorting out a moderate headf*ck, you CAN get a universal-fit ITB kit, have the runners fabricated and flanges welded to produce a quad-throttle. If you want to go a step further, you can have a plenum made up to surround the trumpets. Like I said, a moderate headf*ck. This modification is hardly optimal for street applications but; it comes in the most handy when you're looking to squeeze out every ounce at the higher revs(depending on runner+trumpet length) while managing a huge inlet cam.

And yes, you WILL need management.</div>

That is WAY beyond anything anyone here would want to do with a Hyundai. We need realistic. PSC used to carry redone IM and BBTB for the LC/LC2, they are gone now. RPW is mainly Mitsubishi and in some cases I would recommend them but I almost never see anything worth ever going to them for with a Hyundai.

Shark Racing does have BBTB but no IMs so best bet is get a gasket port match and get your IM ported to a BTB. I've offered this on another site but no ones gone for it I got an IM that port matched to a SR BBTB 52.5 MM and gasket matched as well. Its real easy to do on your own with a dremel. it's not rocket science.

I bored my IM with a dremel also. It takes time but I think I did a good job. If you get a flexible head attachment you can polish your runners too while you're in there.

RPW does make custom IM's for Hyundais. Anything you want. Dual TB setups, whatever.

I've thought about doing ITB's on the Accent. It's not incredibly hard to do and it would be a fun project and sound really nice. If I get the time I still might do it.

Just bore it out to the diameter of the BBTB. There's no point in going larger and that leaves plenty of material. I reshaped the runner inlets a bit and the end of the throat a little to help with airflow.

Yeah, polishing the runners allows for smoother less turbulent airflow and more velocity.

Wilbur also wants to swap the Genesis sedan's 4.6l V8 into the Genesis Coupe and run it on ITB's.

Unrelated but there was a Miata at autocross running a 2.5l V6 with ITB's. It was an awesome sounding car. It also hauled ass.

Yah or you could just simple take a 2.7L V6 from a tiburon with tranny and install it in the rear end and make it a rear wheel rear engine Accent. If I still have my 04 I woul dhave do that this year.
