Default Accent header

Noticed that my stock manifold has a crack in it so instead of getting a new one, I'd like to find a good header to replace it with. Anyone have any feedback on any that seem to perform well?

The only one made that I am aware of is the evofusionusa one. Talk to 187sks about that. I'm sure he'll chime in here pretty soon.

Pretty much, there also sharkracing.com and kdmstuff.com they have headers. Can't remember what I had but mine was a 4-1 header. they work alright but honestly it didn't make much of a difference in my car. I got my stock manifold back in my car and my car still pulls as hard as it did when I had a header on it. It's up to you though, me I would just get the stock on back on there and save up for a turbo :-/


PACEMAKER! thats what i had a 4-1 Pacemaker header.

Well, do you have the 1.5l SOHC or 1.6l DOHC?

For the 1.5l, you're pretty much SOL.

For the 1.6l, you can order the EvoFusion header through KFX for a good price.

N/A mods aren't going to net a lot of increase, but IMO if you're not going to go turbo it's a mod that's worth it. Nitrous will give you a lot more power for a similar price. I've been happy with my EvoFusion header. It didn't transform the car from slow to fast, but it was noticeable.

I will say though that I believe that I got the wrong downpipe. I'm the only person I know of that had the difficulty connecting to the stock exhaust. For everyone else I talked to it bolted right on with no problem.

In my car, with a short ram intake, 2.25" crush bent exhaust, a canister muffler, and the EvoFusion header I made 100whp and 109lb/ft of torque on a Mustang dyno. That means I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 117hp and 128 lb/ft at the flywheel, which isn't too bad. It's just certainly not the cheapest way to make power on an Accent.
