Other than the DOHC ones, are the 1.5L Accent Engines from 95-99 and then 00-02 the same?

 

i've got a 1999 brochure and a 2001 brochure. the specs on the 2 engines are exactly the same (bore, stroke, compression, hp), except that the torque is 13.2 KG.M @ 4000rpm in 1999, and 13.6 @ 4000rpm in 2001.

 

The engines according to my tech at dealer says they are thesame but may have done some changes to the internals. All the piece I have changed have been made for a 99 and I have a 2k. Hyundai even approved the 99 to 2k parts.

 

According to HMA service...they use different TB's. So I'm assuming they use different IM's.

I know they also made the switch from MAF to MAP. Unknown about internal changes and exhaust changes.
