Default 99' hyundai accent tires rubbing in rear....

Hay, my tires bottom out at the rear end of the car. I have 17" enkei's with pirelli tires. Im wondering if my springs are bad or could it be just some type of stock setting on the car itself? I already changed my struts. Would anybody have any word on this situation???

when you say bottoming out, do you mean hitting the fender? how wide are the tires?

What size are the tires exactly? Are the tires hitting something? If so, what? Is the suspension just making a banging noise when you hit bumps or does it sound like rubbing?

its rubbing against something every time i drive over a bump on the road. I cant have any weight in my back seat or trunk. it'll b a nightmare bad enough it rubs with just me in it. my tires are 205/40 with 17" rims. It could be rubbing against the fenders, but ive seen these cars lowered with tire sizes like mine and nobody seems to have issues.

Your offset might be flusher than most people. I would check the bolt holding on the rear bumper towards the rear of the wheel arch. It is usually the farthest protruding object. It's probably either that or the fender lip itself. You can put some chalk on your sidewalls and/or areas you think might be rubbing to verify it.

No problem. Hope you find the issue. When you do, post back and we'll help you deal with it. Rubbing sucks. I managed to get 215/35/18's to work on an Accent with no rubbing, so you'll be fine in the end.
