Default 2011 Hyundai Accent Alarm Bug

Hi, I just got a 2011 Hyundai Accent and there seems to be an alarm bug. It keeps going off even if there's nothing happening. I had to replace my horn since the alarm already busted it as it keeps going off. They say it is a third party that supplies the alarm. I think Alarm Code is the brand. I live here in the Philippines and I have been looking for a decent forum thread that can address my issue to no avail until this new post (hoping).

My alarm key has 3 buttons (arm, disarm and silent) which according to the 'friendly' manual, it does quite a number of functions for a 3-button key alarm. This makes it more confusing. I just want a simple alarm. What can I do. Please help!

As it is still under warranty, the dealer is obliged to repair the fault, regardless of whether it was a third-party supplier for the alarm.

Other than that, I'm guessing it uses tilt sensors and pressure transducers, you could perhaps check the wiring to those. Also make sure that your car battery and the key fob remote batteries are charged.

Hey mate.

If you haven't already found the problem I would suggest checking the bonnet switch. Firstly to make sure there is a little rubber stopper on the bonnet and secondly make sure that stopper is fully depressing the switch. I have had many Hyundai's with poor bonnet switch contact.

Best of luck.
