I've found some wheels on ebay I really like. They say they're 15x6 with 4 x100 lug pattern. I e-mailed the seller if they'd fit the Tib, they said no.
But.. I'm going to have to buy hub adapters anyway, right?! Can't I buy an adapter to accomodate for the lug bolt difference, or not?

The dealer would only have said that if the offset was wrong for your car....no adaptor will alter that!.

 

I honestly don't think the offset is the problem. I asked HER what it was, and she didn't give me an answer to that. She just said it wasn't a 'universal' wheel, so the 4x100 wouldn't fit my 4x114.3.

 

The only adapters you might need with aftermarket wheels are hubcentric rings. Most aftermarket wheels are made with bigger-than-necessary centre bores, so when you buy wheels, a set of hubcentric rings is included... these fit inside the wheel centrebore and makes it so the bore fits nice and snug around the car's hub.

 

4x100 wheels won't fit 4x114.3 lug patters and vice versa.

No adapter in the world will make them fit. Only if the wheels are 8 or 10 hole, and only if one set of those extra holes is 114.3x4 will they fit.
