Default Weird electrical gremlin

So I'm having this issue where when I turn my headlights on, it causes my fuel pump and iac valve to energize. With the key in the on position but not running. When I turn the parking lights on, the fuel pump primes for a split second and the iac valve ticks for a second as well.

Its really freak in weird.

So my question is, has any RD owners had weird electrical things happen? I'm seriously at a loss and I am already committed to pulling all my aftermarket equipment out and if the problem persists, I suppose I may have to look into a new harness which I'm not thrilled to have to do.

Any opinions, suggestions, or flaming is welcome! LOL!

Thanks!

What harm is it doing? I'd be a little more concerned if they stayed running with the key out of the ignition

With the key on, the iac and fuel pump should run either way regardless if your headlights are on or off. Does the iac or fuel pump shut down when you have the key on and turn the headlights off?

And how do you know that the fuel pump is running? I know the iac tick is very audible but the pump is something you really have to listen for.

I'll take a peek at a wiring diagram at work today since hmaservice started charging, but I doubt the exterior lights and fuel pump/ iac are on the same circuit.

I'm having an issue where the car will die and I have to cycle the key to get the car to restart. Running Haltech ECU with an adapter to utilize the stock harness. We have taken traces of all the sensors and we have found that there is something going on with the cam sensor. I agree, the headlights should not affect the pump or IAC, but it does! LOL!! Everytime I turn the parking lights on, you can here the IAC tick, and yes, the fuel pump primes. You can see it with the fuel pressure gauge installed on the car as well. You can also hear it.

I'm thinking I may have a short happening somewhere in the OEM loom where the body harness and engine harness come through the firewall. Its the only way I can see those wires getting close enough together that could possibly cause whatever its doing.
