Default Smog Rejections w/o CEL

Hello all!

Went to get a smog check and found out a lot more problems with my car then originally thought.

I have also completed the Auto-Manual swap. I drove to Vegas from Reno for Halloween and back without a CEL!

FAILED Smog check (29 OCT 2010)

Reason:

Test Parameter-------------Result-----Additional Info

OBD MIL----------------------Y------------Yes

OBD CATALYST-----------N------------NOT COMPLETED

OBD EVAP-------------------N------------NOT COMPLETED

OBD SNSR-------------------N------------NOT COMPLETED

OBD SNSR HEAT---------N------------NOT COMPLETED

Trouble Codes Associated

P0743 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Electrical

P0760 Shift Solenoid "C"

P0755 Shift Solenoid "B"

P0750 Shift Solenoid "A"

What I did to fix above codes: Unplugged/Removed TCM

REJECTED Smog check (2 NOV 2010)

Reason:

Test Parameter-------------Result-----Additional Info

OBD CATALYST-----------N------------NOT COMPLETED

OBD EVAP-------------------N------------NOT COMPLETED

OBD SNSR-------------------N------------NOT COMPLETED

OBD SNSR HEAT---------N------------NOT COMPLETED

Trouble Codes Associated

NONE

Currently looking at Owners manual to figure out what is causing the above OBD stuff to flash without a CEL!

It's hard to tell, but did you clear the codes shortly before getting smogged? It looks like the self tests are not completed. I doubt that is associated with the TCM. They aren't listed as failing, but as not having completed yet. If you haven't unplugged the battery or reset the codes in several hundred miles, I'm not sure what the deal is. I'm just thankful we don't have to smog our cars here yet.

The above link is where I found OBD II drive cycle needed for those trouble sensors. Today I did the cycle - didn't start it like it wanted. But put 60 miles on the car without the TCM codes in the system. So I'm completely lost. The mechanics think that a wire from the automatic tranny is needed for those sensors.

Also should mentioned there is 500 miles between those two smogs, however the TCM was still connected. Yesterday was the first day with the TCM disconnected.

People that have done the swap, have you had problems with OBD II reader? I bought a scanner tool that doesn't get a connection with my OBD II. I've used it on multiple cars without a problem. Think this may have a problem with the smog station too?
