short shifter......damnit
ok i installed the short shifter and i can't get into 1st 2nd or reverse easily how do i fix that????? there has to be a way please help it is 3:18 and i have to work tomorrow.... at 7:00 am if ti can't be fixed back to stock i go,......... someone anyone please...... btw it is the one from mhp....

Okay...this is easy to fix.
What you do is remove the shifter cover/boot piece.
Then WATCH as you shift from 1'st to 2nd to 3rd..etc.etc..etc.. Anywhere you see the shifter, or the cables rub..you remove that plastic.
One of the things I did was to angle all the cut plastic edges. The shifter cables like to catch if you leave a sharp "|" edge. but if you angle cut it like "", teh cables just slide up the ramp of plastic. It helps alot.
Also..the shifter moves better/easier the more you shift. Take it out for a 15 minutes drive and break it in. By the time you get back, it should be shifting much better.

well 1 more question......the shifter works great with the whole shift area cover there......whit it on i cant get into 2nd or reverse and barely 4th.....it is hitting the back of the black/silver surround.....how do i fix that????

Hitting the back of what?
The most common problem areas are circled here
Just make sure those area's do not have any sharp right angled edges on them. make them ramped.

ok 1 2 and 3 are cool....when i snap the plastic area above the shifter in....with the silver circle on it around the sifter.... when i try to shift into 2nd, 4th, or reverse it hits the actual plastic cover :-( i might just give up
