Hey my hyundai dealer today told me to remove completely the vapourcanistor from the fenderwell. He mentioned that i should connect the suction and depressure pipes together and throw away the canistor. Is that correct??
He said that vapourcanistor is just for emmisions tests and other things like holding the fumes from the gastank.Should i go for it???

I never listen to the dealer. Go ask the Maintenance people. I think if it were just that, more people would have done it.

you CAN do this, however, there are also various sensors in the canister, and a air pump, etc...
Removing it is not quite that easy. If you just remove the canister, and leave the sensors and pump there, you will trigger a CEL.
Unless your dealer knows of some way it all can be removed so that the ECU see's it as working fine.
It does not affect the operation of the car, it is just for evaporative emissions. It just sucks fuel vapor that evaporates in your gas tank into that canister, it then sucks normal air through the canister and into your intake manifold, so the fuel fumes can be burned.

I'm going to do some work on this in the near future; that evap canister is totally worthless now that I have the Haltech setup. Hell, all the sensors are already unplugged anyway, but now it makes a big "PUFFFFFT!" noise whenever I turn the key on after running for a while... I'm guessing it's venting that vapor.
Well anyway, no guarantees on when I'll get to it, but I WILL be working on it in the next few weeks.
