Default Seatbelts

I am in the process of tearin out my back seats and dynomatting everything. I need to remove the rear seatbelts to get the side panels off. If I do this will I have any problems such as any sensors or warning lights screwin up? Also, I will be removing the front seatbelts to put in 4pt seatbelts and racing seats eventually. My mechanic said that if I take out the front belts I will get the airbag light. Is this true? Or can I take them out with no problems? Thanks in advance for any info

*EDIT* For anybody else wondering, I took it all apart and the rear seatbelts are now out. Now problems there. The front belts have a wire running to them so I am assuming that my mechanic is right bout airbag lights?

Yes, you can remove the rear seatbelts with no problems.

Yes, you can remove the front seatbelts with no problems. The "wire" going to the seatbelts is just a ground wire. If you ground that wire to any point on the chassis, your seat belt light will not come on. If you don't, and you just leave that wire be, your seat belt light will blink at you non stop!
