as noted in my sig, i've done the auto to manual swap on my 2000 tib. I still have the auto ecu in there. i basically have two questions. 1) when i was doing the research for the parts for the swap, the ecu's had only one part number. hyundai didn't have a designated atm and mtm ecu on their parts extranet site. i thought that there may only be one ecu because tibs have a piggyback tcu, so i figured that if the ecu didn't see the tcu, then the ecu thought the car's and auto. are there two ecus?

2) i just bought an s-afc. does this work the same on the auto ecu (if there is a difference between the ecus)? I got some setting from a guy with the same mods that i have, so i was going to use them as a starting point, but i don't know if my ecu will react differently because it might be an auto ecu.

 

ECU has a auto mode and a manual mode. I have covered the rewirring of it into manual mode. please use the search button.

The SAFC will work fine. but never use someone elses setting, even if he has the same mods, all engines are different.
