ok i bought a autometer tach awhile ago and it only reads half? i cut all the proper wires and everything i think? I heard you have to send it off to get it re programed or somthing kind of like s10's or do i have somthing wrong?

 

you need a tach who work in 2cyl mode cauz you have a double coil

Hyundai's ignition system uses a waste spark it fires twice every crankshaft revolution, therefore you must set your tachometer to the 8 cylinder setting.
