ok, my gf has a problem with her 99 auto tib. when she puts it in reverse, it hesitates when she gives it gas. i've driven the car and experienced it. when you put it in reverse, it doesn't always start to move, as you would expect an auto to do. even if i/she gives it gas, it hesitates, almost as if it were manual and you were REALLY slipping the clutch. this happened before and after the tranny fluid was changed.

 

Sounds like another crappy hyundai automatic tranny has died.

Shoot it , put it out of its misery. Get a new one or an auto-manual swap.

Hell, dude, you got a spare, give her yours.

 

Check her tranny fluid level, and also the color of the fluid. It should be clear red. If it is brownish, replace it.

 

but this happened BEFORE AND AFTER a tranny flush.
