So my reverse lights aren't working, not sure on how long they have been like this . I know its not the socket or the bulb, i tested both and they work. I also checked the ground. I checked a couple of fuses and all were good. Any ideas would be great.

Also, i heard something about a backup light switch located in the engine bay not sure if anyone has a pic or has heard of this

it's likely bad reverse switch. it's located on the transmission somewhere. i've never replaced it, my guy did it for me and it works perfectly. but yeah it's likely that.

 

yep thats the one.on top of the gearbox i believe
