Removing instrument panel
I am having trouble removing my instrument panel, especially the one above the steering wheel.
Can this be done without removing the steering wheel??
I found 2 under the heater buttons, and 2 after removing the part under the steering wheel. Screws that is.
I have searched without any luck

Do you have an RD? Can't remember.
Anyway, yes, if you have an RD, you can literally remove the entire crash pad without removing the steering wheel, including said instrument panel questioned. I know, I just had my entire dash out of the car.
What I did was loosen the bolts holding the steering wheel up, allowed the steering to come down about 6 inches, and everything came out as smooth as one would imagine. And now its FINALLY almost back together!

dimmer switch - I seem to remember one behind there. I think the whole thing comes out as one piece, not just the instrument panel. Remove cover on top and under the steering column, remove screw down to the left and down to the right. May have to disconnect the heater cable above the accelerator pedal. Try starting at the corner - by the door - and pulling outward
