Default redline

I have a 2001 Elantra. The redline on the tach is at 7000 but my car has a limiter at just over 6000. Is there a way to bybass this and up the redline?

The redline on your motor should be 6750 RPM. If your car will not rev to that point on your tach, either your tach needle is miss adjusted, or something is wrong with your ECU.

Eitherway, I would take it back to the dealer and have it fixed under warranty.

It's the tach, the car hits the limiter at 6750 but the needle hasn't reached there yet. leave it as is unless were talking 6100 rpm when it says you hit the limiter.
