The redline on your motor should be 6750 RPM. If your car will not rev to that point on your tach, either your tach needle is miss adjusted, or something is wrong with your ECU.
Eitherway, I would take it back to the dealer and have it fixed under warranty.

Mines the same way. I hit the limiter at 6400RPM (tach). But after I installed the MSD ignition and a shift light I have the shift light set for 6000RPM. THe light lights up with the tach reading about 5600. I think its because (I could be wrong) I believe the tach signal for the stock tach comes from the crankshaft (maybe cam shaft position) and not the ignition itself. I would trust the MSD more than the stock tach since this signal is coming from the ignition and not somewhere else. I dont believe this is a problem other than a bad manufacturing design.
