Default Radio Problem

Hi. Can you help me with this one? I have a Clarion CD Radio with the detachable
face plate. I take it out (especially at night) to make the unit worthless to thieves.
Well, this morning I put the plate back in and the unit wouldn't power up.
Of course, the first method is to insert a pin or something into the small hole to reset the
unit. I did that, but nothing. However, I did hear a loud "bang". One would think it's a blown
fuse but the face plate does occasionally light up but no radio or CD function.
I also hear the CD inserter/ejection motor going off and on. When I turn the accessory key
off, of course it stops.
Anybody have any idea what my dilemma (if that's what it is) might be?
Thanks

Thought u might want to know the answer to this. I took the car to the dealer. I knew it wasn't a fuse because the front of the radio lighted up but it just wouldn't work.
Well, I'm getting a new radio....there's something wrong internally with it. And the good news is...warranty!!!!
Will probably get a newer model of the Clarion as the one that was in Tiburons 3 years ago is no longer available. (Unless they pull one out of a 2000-2001 sitting in a used car lot somewhere.) I don't really care as I hate driving in stone silence. At least I can hear the good-sounding exhaust (lol).
Of course,a new model will basically be the same thing with just some of the buttons in different places.
Thanks
