pulling off stuck drums

Default pulling off stuck drums

have one drum that is stuck on but good, it turns ok but won't come off. and no the parking brake isn't on



i do not have access to a puller, anyone have any ideas?

Try hammering the drum in, just to knock it loose on the threads. then try prying again. Some have gone as far as breaking them off.

Dead blow hammer the crap out of it. If that doesnt work and if I remember correctly there are 2 threaded bolt holes that you can send a long bolt through a to push the drom off as you tighten said bolts. the drum must have a good lip on it and its snagging the brake shoes.

yeah i tried the dead blow....no luck. i'm aware of the little screw holes, but they are blind holes on mine and don't go through



i'm actually starting to think of using an air chisel.
