PaceSetter cat-back help?
Ok, I went to my local exhaust shop today to get an estimate on installing my Pacesetter cat-back. Well, when he looked at the flange difference he said he couldn't install it because he doesn't stock flanges.
So, do I try to find a parts place and buy a 2 hole flange that fits and have someone weld it on, or does one of the major exhaust shops have these items (like Midas, Mineke)?
I just need to way my options here. By the way if you don't already know the PaceSetter system comes with a 3 bolt flange at the cat, and my cat only has a 2 bolt flange.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Contact Pacesetter directly. They were able to work out a fix for someone else.
Your exhuast shop or a welding shop should be able to remove the 3 bolt and install a 2 bolt flange.

I contacted PaceSetter last night and they were not very helpful, they told me that they know about the difference and the system they produce will only work with the 1.8L Tib and some other special condition Tibs (like Jaws99). They didn't offer any help in replacing or returning the wrong fitment.
So, I'm back to getting it fixed myself. Where can I order a 2 bolt flange to get welded on so I can install the exhaust?
Couldn't they just cut the exisiting flange off and take the factory flange and weld that one on to the PS system?

I have the pacesetter exhaust on my 97 tib. I had the same problems with the flange difference. I also had a problem with the length of the exhaust system. Was very frustrating. I too called pacesetter n they told me that same thing. I also tried going around to local shops to see if they would make a connecting piece or if they carry something like that. I know for sure auto zone and nappa dont have it. I ended up getting the exhaust put on at a local shop. They charged me less than 200 but they added a lot of peices to make the exhaust fit. Id suggest trying local garages to see if they could install and make the pieces for you. The plus side is that it sounds good and looks good once u got it on smile.gif smile.gif Later

Okay...not to Forum. Pacesetter exhaust only fits on 3 bolt flange tiburons! Unless you want to have the extra work done.
Brendan- Now I see what you were refering to about Pacsetter. My apologies for doubting you! eek.gif
