Default Need Engine Mod Help? Random if possible

Okay Guys It's Tax return time and I'm going to be dropping most of it into the 2k Tib
I'm planning on at least for now to keep the car naturaly aspired . I'm going to be buying the bbtb ,cai, and headers from sharkracing But I need to know what header would be best from their selection . So far my trasmission has been completly overhauled by Level Ten . So I want to compliment that work I was alsio planning on buying either the HKS air fuel controller or the Apexi Super AFC I need opinions on these products and also any other advice I can get. Last year I focusd on show now it's time for go!. I have some decent money to spend but not a fortune so I need the best bang for my buck.

You don't list what performance mods, if any you have now, so I'll start from square Zero.

CAI (pick your fav)
BTB/BIM combo (if you want, go crazy and have it extrude Honed AFTER Onpol bores it out)
Header (4-2-1 for automatics and daily drivers. More midrange, but less top end) (4-1 Header. Less low torque, but killer top end rush. Only reccomended for 5 speeds and the serious racer)
Cat Back Exaust and High Flow cat. 2.25 or 2.5". The 2.25 will give you more low end but less top. The 2.5 will have less low end, but more top end. The 4-2-1 Header and a 2.5" is a good combo for you.
About this time you would want to install a S-AFC. The HKS Fuel Controler basically does the same thing, but there is an installed base of S-AFC users here, so it will be easier to get info and help with the S-AFC. Spend the $100 to $200 extra to get the S-AFC dyno tuned.

You could do the S-AFC first, or somewhere in the middle, but you will have to have it retuned after every mod...so doing it last makes the most sense money wise.

Random ,

Do you know of any shops that will Dyno tune the s-afc near Jersey. Everyhere I've called sells the damn thing but nobody knows how to tune it. I'm waiting on a response from Pat at level ten to see if they can do it He would probaly give me a brake because he is sposoring me for the tranny work .

Ask Apex-i for a list of authorized Tuners. They should have a list of dyno shops. Then you just need to find one in your area.

Random, I have the sr 421 header, 2.25" custom exhaust with 2 high flow cats and flowmaster muffler, 1.8l cam and aos cai.
Are you saying I would get a nice improvement if I got a piggyback computer and had it custom tuned ?
Thanks.

I would add in a BTB and BIM, and a S-AFC. Yes, the S-AFC when tuned properly can increase HP/Torque on a modified engine.

No, Shark Racing does not sell a Bored Intake Manifold. Their large size and heavy construction makes the very expensive to ship to the USA from Korea.

OnPol, a member here, bores out the stock unit, polished the last 6" of intake runner, and also gasket matches the Port openings for around $150-$170 + Shipping. You ship your IM to him, he usually has one unit in stock completed, so he then usually ships you a completed unit the same or next day, then he has the work done on YOUR IM for the next Guy.
