Default Motor Vibration?? The hell????

Ok.. Maybe this is just Matt being paranoid, but when my car is stopped (air on or off) she feels like there is a slight miss.. It just doens't feel smooth.. It only has 6400 miles on it, and it is a 2K1. Any clues?? Thanks in advance

can you elaborate on that at all? i might be able to tell ya if it's just the car during the breaking in process (since i've expierenced basically everything with my new tib) or if it might be somethin funkey..

Not really.. She just sounds like she is missing when she's stopped.. It isn't a set thing either. Seems like I just have a miss. I run mid-grade, and put in injector cleaner once a month.. Dosn't bother me, just something I would like to know if it common or not.. Thanks

it is common..i think...it is not really a miss but the idle moves a little and you may be hearing that or feeling that....although there is sometimes a slight vibration......mine is a 2k1 with 6800 miles :-)

Do your RPMS's move up or down, or are they stable at 800 RPM?

Yeah.. It stays at 1000 (Haven't re-calibrated the tach since I put the gauges in smile.gif ) I can see it jump every now and again, but nothing that would make me think anything was wrong..

If the RPMS are fairly stable, then you could be looking at a bad/torn motor/tranny mount...but my guess is that your car is idling and vibrating normally.

When the "miss" occurs...do the RPM's drop then go back up, or vary at all?

Nope.. No change in the RPM's.. I think it is in my head, because if I am not paying attention to it, I can't tell it does it.. I dunno.. I am about due for an oil change
otation.. I'll tell them to take a look at Her.. Thanks Random, and everyone else..
