MAF help!!!
Today I decided sorta spur of the moment to take out my entire intake and replace it with a custom CAI. I took out pretty much everything, including both sensors. There were two and I'm assuming the one in the box is a temp sensor and the one in the tubing was the MAF sensor. I was driving around and the engine light was on and the car kept dying when I went above 40mph. I really don't have room for the MAF unless I get a shorter cone. Thanks

You need both sensors. The sensor that was in the box is the IAT (Intake Air Temp) Sensor. The MAF uses the TEMP of the incoming air to calculate density.
The Sensor in the Tube is the MAF. You need to have the MAF on for the ECU to calculate how much air your engine is getting.
You should re-work your intake to accomindate both....
BTW...Moving to HELP forum.
