Default INDIGLO HELP! TACH PROBLEM

I installed indiglo guages on my 99 FX. The stock Tachometer is off, will not move until high revs, It's not rubbing on the guages themselves, the tach is just off. Anyway to get it recalibrated or even close?

About the only thing you can do is start up the car, let it warm up a little to stabilize the idle, and then put the needle back on at the correct RPMs for your cars idle. Don't push the needle on too far or you will have sticking problems. It's also a good idea to leave your gauge cluster cover off for a few days because chances are you're gonna need to get back in there.

That's cool, I tried and the closest I could get 1000-1200 RPM idle, I think I'm about 300 rpms off.

actually, there's a bit of "dead space" at 270 degrees (when the needle is pointing straight down).

with the car off...
[*]pull the pin out that hold the needle at 0 rpm[*]pull the needle off[*]put the needle back on so it's pointing straight down[*]move the needle with your finger past the 0 rpm point and put the pin back in.[/list]the dead space i'm talking about at 270 degrees is like if you put the needle there and try to nudge it a few degrees either clockwise or counter clockwise, it will stay there. but if you move it past this dead space, the needle will return to approx. 270 degrees.
that's the way i did it when i had problems with the indi-crap guages i got off of ebay. i hope this helps.

if you have access to and OBD2 cable and software, you can set it properly. Otherwise, go with the other 2 suggestions above.
