I'm not sure exactly what the problem is, but I think it's the ignition. Sometimes(once in a month or longer) when I turn off my car, mid-way through turning my key, everything in my car shuts off- powerlocks, alarm, etc... Before, it seemed like a fuse was blown(same effect, but I did not have to replace the fuse), but the last time it happened my car would not start for about ten minutes... After the ten minutes was up, my alarm started blaring.
The problem started before I got my alarm last september and seemed to go away when I got my alarm and has only reappeared recently.
What part do you guys think is the problem so I can narrow it down to the hyundai techs. thanks

 

Sounds like smoething is shorting out when you turn the key on.

 

actually, it only seems to short when I turn off the car.
This should be covered in the warrenty right?

 

check your battery conection
i once forgot to tighten the clamp on positive post it ran fine but after i shut it off i had to turn the key on and off a couple times to start and then my alarm would go off then it dawned on me that it started acting up after i changed batterys
