HELP! Exhaust WAAAY too LOUD!
Hey people, I just got my 2.25" exhaust installed w/ a carsound highflow cat and uh, IT'S WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUD!
I have a SR 4-2-1 header and a dual DTM muffler too. My girlfriend let me have her old 2.25" glass pack which is about 2 feet long. I was thinking about using it as a resonator (that's what they are right???) Will this help lower the exhaust noise some?
I've heard some cat-back systems online through wave files and my set-up sounds identicle, however it's just too freakin loud! As a matter of fact, it sounds louder IN the car than OUT!??!
At least i'll get better gas milage 'cause i'm too scared to floor it knowing i'm cop bait now.
*sigh* my life is over guys. frown

well then will this glass pack work as a resonator? A chambered resonator is out of the question, but if i loose a few ponies from this glass pack, at least i'll keep my sanity. wink
I guess my question is, can a glass pack be used as a reso.? I was under the impression that resonators ARE glass packs.

Yes the glass pack should help out a lot.
That was my plan, after i get my header an high flow cat, slapping in the biggest glasspack possible, to kill that nasty sound.
If you put it in, let us know how it turned out!
