Default Headlight part two

Went to the dealership today to get my new tires balanced and mounted. And also had them see if they could replace the retainer clip behind the lowbeam headlight, and the screw that I lost with it (I forgot the actual retainer, so I was just going to have them get me a new one) anyway the mechanic that talked to me told me that they couldn't get just the retainer, and that I would have to buy a whole new headlight assembly for $410.00!!!

Ummm no, just because I lost a screw. Anyways I was just going to check to see if someone could then get the size of this holding screw for me, I've got a 2k and it's the passanger side low beam, the screw that actually holds in the retainer clip for the bulb.

It seriously sounds like you have WHACK mechanics at your nearby dealership. 3 hours for your tires, $400+ for a screw...

Well not really 400 for the screw, it's for the whole headlight assembly, but all I really needed was the retainer clip and the screw, which like I said I didn't bring the retainer clip with me at the time.

Either way today wasn't a good day rolleyes.gif

Except I did get my Blizzak LM-22 tires on

oh and another question, how much does a tire balance and mounting usually cost, I was quoted 40 bucks over where I was going to get it done, but I figured that since I was getting my seatbelt recall done, I'd just get my tires done at the dealership also, well it was 71.50

Did I mention today wasn't a good day?

Heh, I realize that you were talking about the whole assembly for the $400. Still seems like an AWFUL LOT, considering the problem was only a clip and a screw... $50 sounds about right for mounting and balancing (Les Schwab Tires quoted me $12.50 per wheel/tire). So if you paid more...
