i know the thread is a little old but ive had two trannys now in my beta swapped accent and the trick of the trade seems to be put the shifter all the way in reverse and let the clutch out maybe 1/4-1/2 way than pull it back a lttle more youll feel it sit into gear i wouldnt be really worried about it it is done it on my old tranny and my BRAND NEW one too so just learn to take it slower in reverse and always pull back twice
OH and a few of my friends have wrx's and they always think its funny when im behind them to put the clutch in and shift into reverse doing like 40 down the road and i tried once an i barely put into reverse and mandid i get a nasty awaken now i know why the must have a better gearbox design well..... ofcourse they do |
what i love about mt-90 is that the shifter doens't feel like you're stirring a stick in a bucket of thick syrup, it has very stable fluid viscosity in hot and cold weather,
if your car wont reverse, re-de-press the clutch and it'll work, they're a bit trickey on all cars from snick-snick smooth civic's to clunky suzuki sx4s because reverse gears are straight cut, hence the whining sound |
