Hey guys i own a 96 Excel GX, and occasionally there is a strange light i havent ever seen before that turns on.
Its says 'ABS' in yellow writing, on the right hand side of my warning lights area of the dash.

I havent ever seen this light before, and i dont have an ABS braking system. The brake fluid levels are high, and the car is handling the same as usual.

Any ideas?

 

ive seen when a alternator is goin bad the abs light turn on

my other j2 has done that before

 

these lights are sometimes only seperated by a thin piece of plastic in the back of the cluster. ive seen were the plastic divider can break off and fall into the adjacent light, blocking the view of that bulb. when that light cuts on you cant see the bulb so no light but now that the plastic divider is missing the light next door lights up.

-this is all theory ive never seen an excel guage cluster but ive had alot of old worn out cars with very interesting problems
