whats up with that??? i've got a 2000 accent w/ a CAI and exhaust and every now and then periodically my CEL will start to flash for like 10 secs then go out.....but it doesn't store the code to memory???

Has anybody ever had this happen or know what it could be???

a flashing CEL indicates a serious problem, or a Misfire that could damage your cat converter. It should store those codes for 60 driving cycles.

If your CEL just "flashes" but doesn't stay on, it's probably just a wiring issue/fault.

 

it flashes for like a 10 sec period and then it goes awa for a month or 2

Take it into Focus and get it checked out!
It's still under warranty, talk to Tom and get him to get Alex to work on it.

Hope it's just a loose wiring issue

nah man i gotta get it down there for lots of things....

1. cel
2. clicking noise coming from front right all the time
3. clicking noise coming from the back left all the time

weird man???

as far as bass goes not too much cuz my battery juice is almost gone my batt is gone i need a new one....

geez i sure wish i knew some one to hok me up with a killer deal on a new gel cel perhaps..... wink

The clicking noise might be the spings? I dunno, just guessing.

As for the Gel Cell, talk to Dave, he's got hook ups at Part source. Not sure if they still have the one he got Kenny, and for the price, but call or email him. He can check.

Oh yeah, TALK TO TOM when you go to Focus, Harvey is ok too, but DO NOT TALK TO RANDY. He'll try to sell you a new battery or heck, will probably sell you a new car wink Tom is your BEST bet though!

does the flashing only start at idle, before you pick up speed then goes away?

Mine did that when I had a spark plug wire failing.

 

that sounds like a possiblilty i'll get focus to check it out....
