a/f meter question...
i think this is the right forum. i bought the cobalt a/f meter from autometer. i consulted with shadohh, and he told me to wire the ground, power, and lighting power from the cig lighter. i did this, and the gauge acts a little weird when i put the lights on. with the lights off, it functions normally. but when i turn the lights on, it reads like 2-3 leds leaner, and when it swings towards the lean side, the led sometimes disappears for a second. obviously, when the lights are on, it's not getting enough power. any suggestions?

Lighting from cig ligher is okay, but power should come from something low draw, like the radio. Ground should be straight to the metal frame under the dash or the frame of the car.
It sounds like you are loosing GROUND when the lights are on, not loosing power...
