Default engine noise

Right ive had this noise from my engine for as long as i can remember so i dont think it is a major problem i was just wondering if anyone else has it and if you know what it is. All it is is a constant squeek in time with the engine. Its not horedously loud or like a acreech. But its there it sounds like maybe a belt but its no where near as bad as say when a fan belt is slipping. or like a badly oiled rotating part. Anyone have any ideas as to what this wierd noise may be.

pick yourself up a "mechanics stethascope" They are as cheap as $2.99 us, and as expensive as $20 us. They transmit vibration into sound, so you can probe engine parts to hear how they perform. You can tell the relative health/problem of each valve (all 16), bearing function air intake sounds (whoosh) etc..etc..

It can also be used, in this case, to pinpoint the problem/cause of the squeaking device.

its the belts, mine did the same thing.
what i did to figure out which one it was, i took a screw driver and applied pressure with the handle to the side of the belt until it stops making noise. Now y'know which belt is going, and you can try tightening it up or replacing it.

Now DON'T DROP THE SCREWDRIVER. nuff said.
