BBTB, may be a HELP post
Hey, all,
1) My idle's fine, right on target from what it was pre-install, my cruise also works, but drops off slightly from the speed I lock it in. I'll fix that by taking up a little slack in the cruise cable, right?
2) This may be a symptom of the more aggressive spring closing the TB, but it seems a bit jumpy now, i.e. if I let off the accelerator in the middle of 4th gear and coast a little it wants to *jump* when I put it back on, where it used to be nice and smooth in 4th before. This is also happeneing in 5th (as well as every lower gear). It used to happen in 1 and 2 only, and sometimes into 3rd, but never in 4th or 5th. Does my throttle cable need adjustment, or is this simply the higher spring rate and something I'll need to get used to?
I didn't see this specific question in searching, only rough idle and loss of vacuum pressure, neither of which I'm experiencing. I just can't reason out for sure what's going on to make it so abrupt when I release, then depress the gas.

Its not the spring rate. Its the size of the pully on the BBTB. Its bigger than the stock one so you throttle responce will be better. This is something your going to have to get used to and is one of the benifits from having an aftermarket BBTB. The BBTB will open faster than the stock one because the pully is bigger allowing the butterfly to move more of a distance with less pedal movement.
