Seriously. Please help me out of this seasonal HELL.

Anything non prescription that won't put me on a list for making meth in my basement.

claritin (loratadine) is only one antihistamine among many. They don't all work for the same allergies. Fexofenadine Hcl and clemastine fumarate both work better for me most of the year. Diphenhydramine Hcl and chlorpheniramine maleate are both stronger but one will make me drowsy and the other will literally put me to sleep.

In any case, if you are dying and asking about antihistamines, you NEED to be taking pseudoephedrine Hcl. This can only be had at the pharmacy counter. take a strong dose according to your bodyweight. Also drink lots of water.

I know all this because I came late to the party...in addition, get your hands on the appropriate Allergena drops for your part of the country. A few drops in the mouth a few times a day over a few months, and your seasonal allergies will be dramatically reduced, and you will need to take fewer allergy pills.
