Thoughts on Hypnosis?

I feel like this could be a placebo. It only works if you think it works. What you've accomplished with it you've done entirely on your own.

Hypnosis is interesting. Sure, it's "all in your head" but your conscious self doesn't control a lot of things that your mind is controlling. I don't think it works for everything or on everyone but it can work.
I used to use a hypnosis tape to fall asleep when I was in high school, basically because going through the process was calming. I would wake up refreshed. Unfortunately it was "The Power of Sales" and I started having the side effect of selling tons of crap for extra cash. By the time I graduated I was basically a mobile concession stand and I was making enough money selling food and drinks to cover my gas, insurance, and entertainment budget.
Unfortunately pain management and weight loss hypnosis don't seem to work on me. It does for some people.
