How long does your work out last and how often do you train and how many muscle groups do you train at a time?

I typically pick a large muscle group (back/chest/legs) and do 4 exercises with 3 or 4 sets each depending on the exercise, and pick a smaller muscle group (tricep/bicep/calves) to work between exercises. I also try to mix in free weights and machines depending on what I enjoy.

4 sets of back exercise

3 sets triceps

4 sets back (different exercise)

4 sets tricep

3 sets back

3 sets tricep

exhaust back by maxing out/reverse pyramid

the next visit I'll do chest/bicep or legs/shoulders.

Time depends on schedule. Optimally a 5 minute warm up on bike/treadmill/elliptical... 30-60 minutes with weights, and always at least 15-20 minutes of cardio afterward for fat burn after a strenuous workout burning the carbs.

...it's been a while since I've been in the gym.
