Default question about the pill for the ladies

So I've always dated girls on the pill until the current gf. She says she was never on it because she was worried about the side effects to your internal chemistry etc. I agree with her, I don't like messing with my body, but at the same time I'm worried because she's not on it. I feel like these days everyone is on the pill so it can't be all that bad.

Anyway, to our ladies here who are on it, do you have any issues, problems, concerns with taking the pill? I just feel like whatever comes with taking it has to be better than a baby lol.

LOL IM NO GIRL but my wife is on it and I asked her, she says after the first two months you cant tell, but she had a unusual first two months i guess, she said her effects were really bad cramping, and irregular periods, and they lasted for extended periods of time compared to the norm. i would guess this is the body figuring out whats going on, but i am no doctor. Yet she likes it and is perfectly fine now, with not one problem or irregularity!

My girl's not on it and I don't "suit up". She likes belly and back shots and we really aren't too worried. She's 30 and I'm 37. If she gets pregnant even though I pull out, it was just meant to be.

same as you cobra but i'm only 22 and i never ever wear condoms (i'm ready for the lectures so bring it on). My girl loves to swallow but hates the taste of latex. That's my argument for not wearing a condom so there lol.

I have been on several different types of birth control. I was not a fan of the depo shot. It turned me into a huge b*tch and I hated sex. Just the thought of it made me sick. Plus I was a lucky one and got a shot in the ass cheek. It was not fun. It was sore for a week. Bonus was no periods but that was the only one. I am on the pill now and I love it. I have a reminder set on my cell phone for the same time every night so I don't forget to take it. I have a 3 to 4 day period and while it is bad on one day the rest of it is super light. Its my favorite method. We have used condoms while I am not a fan of them they to their job. It all depends on the chemistry of your body as to how you will react to things. I have many friends who are on the depo shot and have zero problems with it. Honestly the only way to to figure out how your body will react to them is try one. If you have issues then you can switch to something else.

Yeah there's a few different kinds. My lady's been on since she was like 15. She doesn't seem to have anything 'weird' going on, but I think the consensus is if you want kids it might take a few months before her body settles back to "normal". I'd say see if she wants to try it for a couple months - it might really help her out as far as being on a 'schedule' etc
