So the dentist said I need a root canal. How bad is it??? im scurrrred

Root canals don't take well in my family. I had mine pulled.



Also, root canal is 1500. Getting it pulled was 200.

After a root canal, you need a crown which is a considerable expense as well. With an extraction you can have a bunch of problems with occlusion that will only get worse, unless you get a bridge which sucks in its own ways, or an implant which is more expensive than the root canal and crown together.

I've had 4 root canals and ill be honest you have every right to be scared but there actually not that bad if you have a good dentist that you trust and he gives you and antibiotic to fight the infecting in the tooth cause with out it the infection will eat the novacaine and you will feel the pain in its full glory also if you do get an antibiotic take an Advil as well 1 hr before you go it will help the Novocaine to set in

Meh ,had 3.....insert freezing,do the work, done...If it hurt,your dentist sucks!...
